Referral Thank You!

Happy Monday Everyone :-)

Referrals from previous clients are such a huge part of our business, and there really is no greater compliment than when we work hard enough to earn your recommendation to friends and family!

Jess and I are so grateful that we wanted to think of a way to say THANK YOU for all the referral business...so I'm very excited to introduce our new referral program!

It's very simple, and here's how it works:

For each referral wedding or portrait shoot we book from now until the end of the year you'll receive:

1- A $100 print credit good towards any product we offer
2- A 16x20 gallery canvas from your event
3- One custom-framed fine art print from your event
5+ A $750 album credit

It's that easy :-) Make sure you tell the couple to mention that you referred them!

So a big thank you again, and keep the referrals coming! Have a fantastic week!

Best,

Chris&Jess

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Any holiday celebrated with good food + drinks is always a favorite of ours! A lot of people think Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican independence day (which happens to be September 16th) but it actually celebrates the victory of Mexican troops over the French at the Battle of Puebla, which took place May 5th, 1862. There's some random trivia for ya!

For Jess and I though, Cinco de Mayo is a good excuse to make some killer Mexican food + margaritas. Some of the best margarita mix we have found is from Williams&Sonoma, and can be found here. It's made with agave nectar, and comes with some really cool infusions like kiwi, cucumber and Velvet Falernum liqueur. Definitely check that out!

We actually ended up cooking all day yesterday since we'd have more time than today. Southwestern cuisine is so bold and vibrant, definitely some of our favorite things to eat! All the recipes are from Bobby Flay's newest cookbook, which I highly recommend! On to the food:

Goat Cheese Queso Fundido with rajas + blue corn tortilla chips...not your average chips and dip! The individual cast iron skillets are from Crate&Barrel

Shrimp and corn tamale with roasted garlic sauce...nothing beats a homemade tamale!

Cornmeal crusted Chile Relleno, stuffed with roasted eggplant + manchego cheese, roasted red pepper + balsamic sauces. Heaven on a plate!

Jess is a dessert diva, and made a fabulous cupcake to fit with the holiday. These are Aztec-spiced chocolate cupcakes: a bittersweet chocolate cake made with 70% cacao and laced with Ancho, Chipotle, and Chile de Arbol powders, dipped in dark chocolate ganache flavored with cinnamon + nutmeg, and topped with a rich chocolate cream cheese icing...YUM!

She has some crazy skills with a pastry bag...

The finished product...mine don't look this good

Did you know that cupcakes make great wedding favors, cakes, gifts, snacks.....Hmmmmm......exciting news coming soon!!!

Have a great Cinco de Mayo, and enjoy some great food + drinks!

Jessica & Justin's San Antonio Wedding!

First post! Jess and I are so excited to have our blog up and running, and I can't think of a better way to start off than with Jessica & Justin's totally awesome wedding in SAN ANTONIO! Texas is one of our favorite places to visit (used to live there for 10 years) and if you've never been we highly recommend it! It doesn't get much better than a margarita (or two) on the Riverwalk :)

Jess and I are so lucky to work with some amazing clients, and Jessica and Justin were certainly no exception. Everything about their wedding was so genuine and intimate, and being such a welcoming and relaxed couple definitely made our job easy!

Jessica was a total rockstar getting ready:

I love the emotion in this shot:

A fabulous pair of shoes is a must:

Jessica is a complete natural in front of the camera...can you tell how much fun we're having! :

Simply gorgeous:

We LOVE birdcage veils, chances are if you wear one you will end up with more pictures than you know what to do with :)

The decor was simple and chic, and done all by Jessica herself how cool is that?

Jessica's mother made the cake, didn't she do an amazing job?

Justin ready to walk down the aisle:

They are blessed with an amazing little boy, Aiden, who almost made it all the way to the altar, but first had to stop and admire the flower balls:

I love the anticipation here:

Married (notice the ring bearer can't stand to watch the kiss!)

Isn't their family adorable?

After the ceremony we had to run to this field to catch some amazing light before the sun set! I was warned by Jessica to watch out for rattlesnakes...luckily they were brave and we didn't see any!

Always a good time to practice your first dance:

I think it was worth it!

Congratulations again to Jessica and Justin! You guys are awesome and we had a blast at your wedding :)

Hope you enjoyed our first post...coming up soon: Savannah GA and NYC!
